Now that her mother is dead, Eirene returns to live with the Castrovecchio family, old friends of her mother. There, she finds her best childhood friend, Alan. Alan welcomes her coldly, unable to forgive her for leaving, but Eirene doesn’t give up.  She does everything to regain a place in Alan’s life, even though he has someone else now; even though he doesn’t miss an opportunity to hurt her. Eirene, in fact, is not afraid to prick her heart on a thorn.
